May Day Attire
***Please have your child arrive to school in their performance attire and lei on May 1st at 7:45am.
Mrs. Hew and Kumu Kaʻai would like to ask everyone to refrain from picking any flowers or plants on campus. Mahalo for your cooperation!
***Many people who own yellow plumeria trees know that children will ask to pick them to make a lei for May day. Please drive around your neighborhood to search for these flowers. Once you locate your flower, knock on the door and ask permission from the resident. A wire hanger can be formed as your picking tool (see photo below). When picking yellow plumeria flowers, be careful of the milky sap. Some people can be sensitive to it. The sap dries quickly after picking. Keep your flowers dry (no water) in a plastic bag in the front of your refrigerator for storage.
